I shared my dream IKEA kitchen yesterday and the full dream house this morning, so now’s probably a good time to share what I’ve used and loved from IKEA in real life. Because, dudes, I love the big blue (and yellow). And all of these beautiful and talented ladies are sharing their favorite IKEA finds, too.
(P.S. We haven’t been compensated by IKEA in any way. Which makes me believe that we should be. But, really – we just love IKEA and thought this would be fun.)
The kitchen
It’s no secret I love our IKEA kitchen. We purchased the cabinetry, sink, plate rack, and countertops from IKEA and I’ve never regretted it for a second. And the Benjamins in my pocket agree. Whole-heartedly.
Hemnes shoe cabinet and Lack wall shelves
For an old house with little storage space, this shoe cabinet is a lifesaver in our entry space. It holds more than 20 pairs of shoes and flip flops, and looks great doing it. Seriously – I don’t know what we did before.
Oh, wait. I do. We stacked our shoes all over the floor.
The Lack shelves above were a happy accident. They lived in the office of our last house and I was inspired to use them to create a more custom-built look in the entry. They are nearly the exact width of the room and they look perfect. They also hold baskets for winter wear storage, which is a plus.
Pots, plants and frames
Those accessories get me every time. I’m a huge fan of the Ribba frames and I love the small white kardemumma pots. I also have a hard time sneaking out of the big blue without a few of their plants (or faux plants).
My cohorts are sharing their favorite IKEA finds today – go check them out at:

Love your kitchen and that shoe cabinet and shelves work perfectly in the space!

Your kitchen REALLY makes me want to Ikea-ify my kitchen! I need some new cabinets like-woah!

I love that shoe cabinet! I wanted to make it fit in front of our closet but the space is too narrow for it. And Ikea kitchens are great – we installed some kitchen cabinets in my parents’ laundry room and were very impressed with the quality of the hinges and such.

I’ve had my eye on that shoe cabinet for awhile but I’ve yet to bite the bullet! Every time I see it in blogland I get more and more tempted!

LOVE your IKEA kitchen! We are right in the middle of our IKEA kitchen install. We are SO happy with it so far. IKEA is a gift from the heavens for sure. And it’s so easily hackable. I’m STILL in love with our wingback rocker. I love your hemmnes shoe cabinet 🙂

I feel like I need a trip to IKEA in my future after all these posts!
We used to have one of those shoe holders in our condo and I miss it. Now my shoes are all over the place and Stewie loves to chew them up (along with baby toys he is in heaven).

That is seriously one of my favorite purchases ever. But it was not a cinch to get together. Geez.

We splurged on our kitchen cabinets and I still wish I’d gone ikea! Love your kitchen!

I love your real life kitchen and your inspiration kitchen from yesterday! Thank you IKEA and Kim! 😉

We have an IKEA kitchen too and I just love it! I think my favorite IKEA purchase has been our island. I love that it has two barstools so we can now eat in the kitchen, rather than go to the dining room for meals. I’m actually sitting at the island right now 🙂

I LOVE IKEA! I only wish we actually had one here to shop at. When we added countertop to our kitchen I thought about getting butcher block and their price was unbeatable. Then I discovered the shipping and we scratched that idea.
