I’ve been a sewing animal lately. And this project was tried and true gift for my friend Emily’s bridal shower gift.
Because who wants an fugly casserole carrier when you can have a pretty one? That a question that doesn’t really need an answer.
For this set, I went with a pretty metro black fabric with a grey interior.
Classic, modern and fun.
As always, I used a modified design based on the tutorial from Homemade by Jill.
And I include a pair of my favorite type of potholders – they are 8×8 inches with 5×8 inch pockets, if you want to make them yourself. (I know, I’m quite the tutorial-maker.)
What do you think?

Awesome gift! I’ve really been wanting a casserole carrier for the holidays and parties. Will you be selling them on Sew Midwestern? (Please say yes)

This is awesome! Where were you when I was trying to come up with a DIY shower gift in the Spring? And actually, I think I need one for myself as well. Time to start sewing again!

Oh I wish I had seen this earlier! My best friend’s shower is this Saturday, and I haven’t gotten her anything yet. I love it! Luckily I have a few more weddings to go to this year… Great pick on the fabric, too, btw!
