Three F’s for this Fabulous Friday.
Franco
This is the demon’s new favorite lounging area. He snuggles right in between the cushion and the back of the davenport.
I can’t bear to make him move. He’s too darn cute.
Flowers
Look at these beauties – from my mother-in-law’s yard.
They are dreamy. The hydrangeas in my yard have never bloomed. I’m bitter.
Finally, another new recipe we tried, because we had a beef roast in the freezer that we wanted to use. This is a good meal for a weekend, since it takes all day in the oven. However, I think it could also be easily translated into the Crock Pot.
French Beef Dip
Adapted from Pampered Chef – Recipes for your Pampered Chef Deep Covered Baker
3-6 lbs. Boneless beef (any cut)
3 cans beef broth
1 pkg. onion soup mix
2 cans or bottles of beer
1 tsp. Dried or minced, fresh garlic
Put all ingredients in a covered baker and cook covered at 200-250 degrees at least 6 hours, until meat shreds and is very tender. Serve with your choice of cheese (we like mozzarella) on hoagies (or hot dog buns, if you are classy like us).
I’m heading to Kansas City to meet up with my college roommates. I’ve not seen Ali in 6 months or Lynne since my wedding. Saying I’m excited is an understatement! Hope you all have a great weekend, too.

Dozer does that with the pillows in the bedroom. I don’t know why I ever bother making the bed…
Oh, and I will definitely be making that beef recipe over the weekend. Yum! Have you tried the Pot Roast recipe from the Pioneer Woman? It’s to die for. Mister requests it weekly.

I’m a big fan of my PC covered baker, I’ll have to give this a try.

1. Franco has the right idea. If you had me over, you’d find me curled up on your awesome couch. Just like Franco. It’d be a tight fit but I think I can do it.
2. Hydrangeas have got to be the most gorge blooms ever. You’re so lucky to have cool relations.
3. I.love.beef.

Too cute! But I’ll have to warn you, we have 3 Yorkies and I’ve always let them do that too and they’ve ruined 3 couches that way. I’ve vowing when we get our new one that they’ll need to get a bed and sleep on the floor… or one of the old couches they’ve ruined!

The hydrangeas in my yard took a good 3 years before they started to produce good blooms. Now its like I cant’t cut enough of them.
And can I Have Franco? He is too cute!

I’m not sure which photo I like better Franco or the flowers. Have a great weekend trip!

LOVE Franco!
I so want some hydrangeas, but they look like I’d kill them. So I’ve never taken the chance.
Have fun in K.C.! I’m a Missouri native, so I’ve spent a lot of time there. If you go to the Plaza, say hi to the fountain in front of the Cheesecake Factory for me … it’s where my husband proposed to me 11 years ago. ๐

Franco is so so cute! And those hydrangeas are to die for. I think I need to amend my soil to see if I can get mine to turn blue… or pink… or purple for that matter…
Cindy @The Flipping Couple says
Yum, that beef sounds so good! I’ve done something similar in the crockpot, so I definitely think you could move it on over there if you wanted it for a week-night meal. I’ve never tried adding beer, though…gotta give that a try!
Have fun this weekend! Roomie get-togethers are amazing.

Honestly Franco is THE cutiest pup ever… I want to plop down and snuggle on that comfy sofa with him!
