I found the recipe for a basic hamburger at Peace, Love and French Fries. It is truly the yummiest hamburger. The Worcestershire gives it extra juiciness and the soup mix and steak seasoning give it great flavor. The recipe easily makes eight good-sized hamburgers. I wrapped the patties in freezer paper and put two in a quart-sized ziplock. So, this will make four meals for Ryan and I. (I freeze extra hamburger buns, too. That way they won’t go bad before we eat them all.)
The Basic Burger (8 burgers)
from Peace, Love and French Fries
2 lbs ground beef
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp grill seasoning (I used Kansas City steak seasoning)
Combine ingredients with hands. Divide meat evenly, shape into patties. Grill over medium/medium-high heat for 10-12 minutes or until they reach desired done-ness.
Please make these. You will thank me.
Do you grill a lot in the spring and summer?
