Now, the holiday home tour takes a turn into the kitchen. I decided to get creative and make a kitchen tree this year. I used a stainless pot as the base and added lights, bubble lights (which I discovered in a box), cookie cutters, wooden spoons, a rolling pin and an oven mitt as the topper.
I lined the small cookie cutters with scrapbook paper to make them stick out. (A quick project with the help of hot glue.)
All-in-all, pretty cute for $0.
A few other kitchen views.
Thanks for joining us on our home tour. Next up – outdoors.

Your tree makes me smile. I mean, how could an oven mit atop an evergreen NOT make you smile? Seriously.

I like the last picture! Can you explain more of what’s going on there? Did you make it? It looks like maybe a way to display Christmas cards? I’ve been looking for an idea for that.

Love your oven mitt tree topper. My mom used to have a christmas tree and she’d hang cookie cutters on it. You just brought a flood of old memories back! Your kitchen looks so festive and warm (mine looks like it does year round – unfestive and cold).
