Someone asked what we would do with so many pumpkins from our garden. I picked 12 at first. I’ll probably have another 12 this week.
Well…
The abundance of pumpkins helped our two window boxes get fall-ified this weekend. I left the ivy in the boxes, cause it’s still growing well. I pulled everything else out.
The little bitty pumpkins and gourds are from our garden and Ryan’s parent’s garden.
The white-and-orange pumpkins were picked up from the Farmer’s Market. Only 50 cents! Love.
The larger pie-looking pumpkins were also swiped up at the Farmer’s Market (or perhaps they should be called punkins, Emily?).
And, they even make me smile from inside.
My inspiration: I found a really cool picture of a window box filled with pumpkins of all shapes and sizes in Country Living 500 Quick and Easy Decorating Projects and Ideas.
Of course I couldn’t find it online.

Pumpkins are as crazy as I get when it comes to fall decor. I love the overflowing abundance look of so many of them in the window box!
It never fails, the squirrels always get to munching on ours. Any tips, you domestic diva, you?

I love it. In your second photo, the one little pumpkin looks like he wants to jump out of the box :).
I love the second inspiration photo the best, and your pumpkin collection looks so similar! Do you have any dry branches around? A branch or two in your boxes would look lovely too.

Loving this idea. Our window boxes are sad and drab right now. I’ve been thinking of finding fake flowers for them since I haven’t succeeded in growing anything in them since they’re so shady. But now I can do pumpkins for fall!
Juggling Thoughts says
I love it! I think I’m going to do that with my apartment porch…I’ve got my overhang flowerpots on the balcony…I may just fill them with those tiny, cute punkin’s! 😉
Thanks for the idea…it’s great!

ADORABLE!
I only wish my lonely, smashed on one side, pumpkin had many pumpkin friends with which to dwell on our front porch.
Alas, the other pumpkins rotted away. Booooo 🙁
