Do you have any small unfinished projects around your house that nearly drive you crazy?
Yep. Me, too.
There just never seems to be enough time to properly take care of everything. Everything just gets added to a long to-do list inside my brain.
For example, the stickers on the windows in the barn. I have tried to scrape them off (to no avail) a dozen times. But, I had basically given up. After almost 5 years, I figured they were a lost cause.
It’s just a barn, so I tried to let it go.
But I notice the stickers ALL THE STINKIN’ TIME. I couldn’t let it go. I see them every time I pull out of the garage. And I finally found a great (and simple) hack to take off those stickers with no muss or fuss.
Yep. WD-40 Multi-Use Product.
It’s basically like magic. The convenient size of the 2.75-oz can makes it easy to store, so we always keep a can of WD-40 in the barn for quick projects. It’s just easy and effective. And it was a less than a 10-minute project to scrape the stickers off four windows.
I simply sprayed a little WD-40 Multi-Use Product on each window, and then added some more to a rag for some stubborn stickiness. I had a small acrylic scraper at first, but the rag alone seemed to do better.
I love it when projects turn out to be even easier than I expected. But seriously, why did I wait 5 years for this?
Now I will just see the weeds every time I pull out of the garage. But that’s a project for another day.
WD-40 Multi-Use Product isn’t just for the garage and squeaky doors (although it works for that, too). Now that I have seen this work, I can’t wait to try some other “secret,” little-known uses for WD-40 around the home. This stuff is like magic for stubborn home issues.
Have you tried any of these?
- Lubricate and prevent rust on kitchen shears or scissors.
- Eliminate squeaks from a desk chair.
- Remove gum stuck on concrete.
- Get rid of crayon from walls.
- Clean tough scuff marks on walls and floors.
What home annoyances are you putting off?
