Another day, another Christmas tree.
This time, I’m sharing the tree we put in stairway – where we have all of our “sentimental” ornaments from our childhoods, gifts and travels.
While I love a great themed Christmas tree, I also love the nostalgia of unpacking all these memories in the ornaments.
I picked up this wall-hung tree last year for the barn, and it’s perfect in this tight space. It glows!
I also wanted to add a fun touch to the other wall in the stairway, so I created five simple, modern designs with holiday songs and the reindeer names. (Guess what? You can download the designs for free at the end of this post.)
I think a holiday gallery wall is the perfect touch to the space.

The designs are printed as metal prints from Shutterfly. I simply uploaded my own files and created them on metal. (The large print is 24×36 inches and the small designs are 5×5 inch multi minis.)
The combination fills up the whole wall for a huge statement. And the metal artwork is beautiful in person.
The metal prints are also fairly light and easy to hang – and they are relatively flat against the wall. That means no hazards while taking the stairs. I actually hung the smaller ones with small command strips, which means no nail holes.
I believe in singing a different carol every time I take the stairs.
It’s basically a new rule in our house now.
To finish off the little vignette, I added a Santa sack and sled (both from one of my favorite local stores Urban Farmhouse). Ironically, the sled also boasts a holiday tune.
I love adding little touches of Christmas cheer all over the house. Fa la la la la la la la la.
Do you want to print your own prints with my designs?
You can upload the files below directly to Shutterfly to create your own canvas or metal wall art. (Download the JPEG files for this use.)
Or use them as printables around the house. (The smaller designs would be perfect for gift tags – just print them a few to a page and cut. Download as PDF or JPEG for this use.)

Ha–the little wall hung tree is genius! And I love your prints….the space on my stairs is sorely neglected; I could used a little holiday cheer to get me out of bed in the morning 😉

Adorable. I immediately tried to picture doing this on my stairs but my hand rail would be in the way. Do you not have a hand rail? I’d break my neck.
