Dec. 29, 2007 – I tricked a really handsome, smart and funny guy into saying “I Do.” (Don’t tell, but I used a very secretive form of voodoo magic.)
I’m still really proud to have this ring on my finger after six years married and 12 years together. True to all of life’s changes, I ended up home with a recovering sicky toddler yesterday after surprising Ryan with tickets to the Bears-Packers game. (He ended up celebrating our anniversary at the game with my brother.) But it doesn’t matter. Many more days and years to celebrate.
Speaking of celebrations, we’re almost to the end of 2013. (Cue all the “Oh-my-gosh-I-can’t-believe-it’s-been-a-whole-year”s.)
I don’t always get my act together to complete a recap of the year on the blog, but I thought it could be fun this year. It’s been a really full year. A full and exciting year with changes and big dreams.
Going through a year of blog posts makes me feel sort of cray cray. Let’s just call us eclectic. There is truly no common theme running through this blog. Which is probably the main reason I have yet to hit the big time yet. (Yep. That’s clearly the reason.) But, here’s a few favorite posts from 2013 that may appeal to a lot of different “types.”

Thank you for joining us throughout the year for our adventures! It’s so appreciated!
I’d love to know what project was your favorite from the year!

Hello! I was prompted to actually leave a comment because we got married the exact same day, so cool right – okay, not really. I love reading your blog and if I still lived in the Midwest try to be Michelle and your friend. Luckily for you, I moved to the West Coast. Keep up the good work!

Awwww happy anniversary to you, too!

Loved all of the posts that you picked. Also loved your “I’m a stay at home mom now” post and your “Henry pre-snuggles the quilts” post. Wow, you had a very full year.

Bummer you had to miss the game (what a great gift!), but at least you weren’t there for the last minute disappointment. Happy Anniversary! And Happy New Year!
