Quilting is sort of like riding a bike. I do it a lot and then I put it aside for a while to try other things. But then I pick it up again, and it feels good and natural. Over the weekend, I spent four hours on the couch watching episodes of “Lie to Me” and hand binding a quilt for our shop. Ahhhhh….. such a good way to spend a Saturday night. This is exactly what I meant by down-time for my monthly goals.
This quilt was a true collaborative effort. I cut the squares, we pieced them together at my dining room table, Michelle quilted and I bound it. It turned out so darn cute, I sort of want to keep it for myself.
But, since I have four quilts in Henry’s room, I think it’s time to let one go.
