It’s hard to believe we’re done with two months of 2013. And these new goals are the best.
Plan meals … Meal planning really helped our weeknights run smoothly this month. We stuck to it pretty well and ate at home almost every night. I spent 10 minutes making the plan on Sunday morning and then we did a quick shopping trip after lunch. Easy peasy and I’ll be keeping this up going forward.
Take the stairs … I was able to take at least 10 flights of stairs every work day. Is it bad that it’s not getting any easier? Oh, well. I will keep on keeping on.
Relax and play … We had a great week in Phoenix, which was a nice time to relax and play as a family. We also took Henry out in the snow for the first time in February and did lots of playing on the living room rug.
Make time for us and for me … Ryan and I had several one-on-one dates this month – once a day trip to the Biosphere in Tuscon and once to our favorite Chinese restaurant for a Saturday night dinner. Henry’s early bedtime also allowed us to eat dinner together regularly at night and talk. It was a nice “us” time. For “me” time, I enjoyed time with friends and craft night and even some quiet time for sewing. It was a great month for me and we.
Go outside my comfort zone … The blogging class I taught was something that was way out of my comfort zone. And I’m so glad I did it. (Thank you to all of you for your support and kind words.) A few other things are on the horizon that are beyond my realm of experience. But I’m realizing that the being stretched makes me stronger.

ohmygoodnessgracious – that plaid snowsuit???? Cutest. Thing. Ever!!!
You go girl! {Throwback to 1995!} I’m happy you got some time to relax and I hope you share more about how the blogging class came to fruition!! xoxo
10 flights of stairs! Go Kim! Sounds like a good month, all around.
Love the new format! You’ve inspired me to make some ‘me’ time. I’m thinking a solo movie date sounds perfect.
That was a quick month! Seems like you just posted your list!
Looks like Henry enjoyed being bundled up!
I’d love to know how you add the words onto the photo.
I am so, so impressed with all that you continue to manage now that you have little Henry in your life, and that you can have fun and make time for yourself, too! I would say that being stretched works for you
You rocked February! I have started using this format too and it’s great. I’m not doing as well as you are for completing things but I’m more focused and trying and that is what counts!
I can’t believe it’s March already?!
How is it March? I love that you enjoy a glass of wine occasionally, people have told me I’m poisoning Reagan by enjoying a glass myself every now and then. And I love love love that you and Ryan make time for you two as well!
You did a great job with your goals…..by the way i love the pictures of you and your family, so sweet.
