Well, our son has arrived. And our hearts will never be the same. Right now, my heart is so full that it may just burst.
Henry Vincent Woodward was born on Friday, May 25, at 5:35 p.m. He weighed in at a whopping 5 pounds, 11.4 ounces and was 19 inches long.
We thought we still had almost 4 weeks to prepare, but Henry taught us that there are some things you just cannot control. Some things you cannot plan to the minute. And I’m beginning to think that’s a good thing.
But there is a lot to be thankful for right now. For Henry’s health. For the wonderful doctors and nurses who took care of us. For the support and love of our friends and family.
I’m not sure when I’ll be back to regular blogging. Hopefully soon. But, you understand – for now I have a newborn to snuggle.

Congratulations, Kim and Ryan! Henry is such a cutie. I was in much the same situation…I thought I had a month to prepare, and then my little boy arrived one month early. We had some challenges early on, but he is doing great now! Near term babies are a group all their own; let me know if you need any resources or support.
