I truly believe that the best part about blogging is meeting the most wonderful people.
Case in point – Cindy at The Flipping Couple and Michelle at Decor and the Dog. I’d never have met either of these fabulous ladies if it weren’t for this little blog. And, this weekend, we got to spend much of the weekend together! Blog friends weekend!
You know you are jealous.
Cindy made the trip from Minnesota to Illinois/Iowa, where Michelle and I are. We spent Friday night gorging ourselves at Michelle’s casa (which is even more fabulous in person than on the blog).
Then, we spent Saturday thrifting and shopping and gabbing and eating. We even stopped at a Starbucks for Cindy’s java fix.
And because we are quite the party animals, we parked our behinds in my living room on Saturday night and spent the evening laughing and snuggling pugs. Ryan was going for spouse of the year and brought us all home Chic-fil-A nuggets and waffle fries. He’s awesome.
Lola approved of the entire evening.
These pugs love Cindy and Michelle. But, what’s not to love? They were quite disappointed when the gals left and they were left with just Ryan and I.
Cindy was such a trooper and never even complained about sleeping on a borrowed inflatable mattress. (Because all the guest furniture is in storage to make room for a nursery.) I just wish she were a bit closer so we could do this all the time!
Next up, Michelle and Kim hit the road for Minnesota to visit Cindy?
I think it’s time to take this show on the road.

How fun! Y’all look like you had a great time!
Oh, how much fun!!! You must do more of this before the baby comes. It’s not impossible to do girls’ weekends when you have kids, but it does take planning. It looks like you all had a fun time…I would love to snuggle a pug.
Looks like you guys had so much fun! Lola is quite the model… and snuggler.
I think we should take the dogs with us. Bahahaha.
Oh, I’m another IL girl, but I am in central IL (near Springfield). I will have to subscribe to those girls’ blogs too!
I’m sure you ladies had fun, I love all of your blogs! And those Pugs are just crazy cute.
Yes!!! Time to take the show on the road. My dogs are super jealous they didn’t get to join in the snugglefest.
And you should totally bring the dogs. I don’t see why we can’t have 5 dogs in 1600 square feet for a weekend.
This post makes me happy all over again!! Such a great weekend.
YAY! Looks like you guys had a great time. Blogger friends are awesome
That sounds like so much fun! I know I always have a super fun time when I get together with MC Longbrake (and all thanks to blogging!)

Blog buddies are the best buddies. But let’s just get the fact that I’m totally jealous out of the way. One, I’m jealous that you get to hang with those girls and their fantastic haircuts. And two, I am posessive of you, I don’t like sharing you with other blog friends. Is that weird? Ha. Of course it is. But seriously, so fun, I’m glad you guys had a good time!
Isn’t it the best?! If you do ever make it up to Minneapolis let me know, we might be able to arrange for me and Dusty to crash the party!
