Remember our friends Jon and Ann? They were putting together a Mickey Mouse nursery for their baby-to-be. Well, they are three weeks away from that bundle being born and Ryan and I put together a little couples’ shower to celebrate.
We played with the Mickey theme, since the mom-and-dad-to-be are Mickey fans. I love a good theme.
Unfortunately, I took very few photos. As in, hardly any. But I did get the food table.
And some of the decorations. Ryan cut out all those mouse ear letters by hand to help me. What a good husband and co-party planner. (The mouse ears are just a free font – Mickey Ears on Font Space. The Disney font is Walt, also from Font Space.)
Don’t you love the little onesies?
And the polka dots?
I picked up some fun Mickey balloons and put together a simple diaper cake.
I didn’t get a chance to take a photo of the tables, but they was so darn cute. I covered the top in black and white polka dots, added a few more balloon bouquets and four Mason jars with black-eyed-susans. They were adorable.
The weather barely held out for us. Just a little shower. But it was a great night of hanging out with friends, sharing best wishes for the new mom and dad and eating great food.
Congrats, Jon and Ann! We can’t wait to meet baby Mickey/Minnie.

You make everything look so simple! I know, your probably spend hours and weeks agonizing over every detail, but you really make it look like a snap. You have a great mind for domestic lady stuff like this. I wish I did. You’re my constant inspiration, Kim Woodward.

I am one proud mamma when I see what you put together for your friends. Yes, they are very lucky to have you in their lives but not half as lucky as I am to have you for a daughter. I love you angel!

Adorable! I love all the polka dots, and I especially love the onesies. I like the idea of a couples’ shower too. (Even though I am slightly selfish and would love a party to be all about me. 🙂 )
Great job on the shower!!

Fun! I think showers are much easier to plan, and end up end coming out nicer, when there is a theme.
