It’s week number two of Jenny at Words on Wendhurst’s 111 things in 1/11.
Remember our office room of junk?
That’s embarrassing.
Β I purged and re-organized. It looks presentable now. Not perfect (it’s never perfect), but presentable.
And I only allowed myself to put currently in-progress projects in the storage baskets on the wall.
And here’s what I got rid of this week:
1 pillow
2 covers
3 purses
1 wallet
3 totes
1 pair of pants
1 paper shredder
1 blank address book
2 poster boards
2 packs of hooks
1 ribbon
1 planner
7 dog clothing items
1 CD boombox
1 chalkboard paint
1 lazy susan
1 stack of fabric
1 index card holder
1 package of bells
1 McCall’s pattern
1 blank journal
1 unused pack of party invites
1 belt
and 4 garbage bags of crap to the trash.
That’s a total of 36 items purged this week…
and 112 items total this month.
WOOT!
I have approximately 6,000 items left to purge before the end of the month. Wish me luck.
So, I don’t think I’ll be stopping even though I surpassed the goal of 111 items.Β Next week, I’m hoping to work on the closets. Or maybe the kitchen. I’ll surprise you.

Ok I know I’m supposed to be focusing on the organizing you did, but I LOVE THAT DESK! Wow, so gorgeous! Is that a thrift find?!

You are a Rock. Star. I am very impressed!
I meant to go through the garage… but then my entire family came to visit (which was awesome) and then it was cold in the garage and maybe I’m a little lazy…
Next week it is! π

You are amazing! I am struggling to dig through all our crap… Although I did get the art hung in the bedroom AND I actually took photos, so that’s something. I wish I could bottle your energy!

You’re my hero. Really. My ‘craft’ (i.e. junk) room is WAY worse in its current before state than yours was. TRUST ME! My spring make room for baby purge starts this weekend! It will be a modest start, but any start counts!
Liz @ It's Great To Be Home says
That’s like a whole new office! You’re totally kicking rear end!

Awesome! You are totally inspiring me to get rid of some clutter. I wanted to start last week but we have had a water heater situation that JUST got resolved after returning home from our vacation to no hot water. It was awful. Now I can get some stuff done. BTW does getting rid of a busted water heater and the flooring count? π
Amanda @ Serenity Now says
Wow! The office looks fabulous, Kim. π Love that nice big pile of “donate.” I still have a ways to go with our donations, but it feels good to think about what we’ve let go of so far. π

Way to go! You are such an overachiever. π In a totally good way! I get tired just looking at all the work you have done. Thanks for linking up! On a totally separate note, where did you get that awesome desk chair?

Very cool, way to purge sister! Are those 2 wreaths part of your purge? Not that they should be, just made me think of ditching an old hydrangea wreath I have hanging around. I really need to back away from that wreath. Thanks for the motivation.

thanks for leaving the kind comment on my laundry room reveal – i really appreciate it when someone takes the time to leave a comment!! i’m contemplating using the grape boxes on the wall – the only thing is, none of the other sides look cute, so i’m not sure it will work. i still might try it though!!
i’m enjoying looking through your blog!

LOL I have been purging as well, this weekend I shall organize and declutter the master closet – wish me luck!

It looks great! It’s so wild what a little cleanup can do for a space. I’m going to be working on that this weekend… if you have any ideas for my entry (http://sarahg816.blogspot.com/2011/01/weekend-projects-help.html) I would LOVE the advice!

You’ve inspired me to try to purge out some stuff!
Since the hubby will be going active duty Air Force in May and we will be moving within 6 months of that, I really need to get our clutter under control!
Any suggestions for a memory box or do you guys keep anything like that?

Your office looks fantastic! Good job this week – I’m past 111, too and still got a lot to toss.
PS – I know I owe you an email, I just have to find it in my email inbox…I’m not ignoring you, I’m just disorganized! Can the next challenge be purge your inbox?
