It’s not too late! Nothing is more special than a gift made by you. Try out something new to give this year – ideas include bath and body items, kitchen gifts, hand-sewn clothing or home decor.
I’ve made a few gifts, but I can’t share them all yet because I haven’t given them. But, I’ll share a few today.
These are the gift baskets I put together for our Tennessee families.
I found the really great tins at Target in the Dollar Spot. There were 3 – red, silver and green – and I swiped them all. They were really large and solid and I was giddy about the find. I added the last name with vinyl cut on the Cricut. I thought it’d be fun piece to keep – great for bathrooms, kitchens, anywhere.
I wanted to make some sort of a breakfast basket. I included homemade strawberry jam, raisin bran muffin mix, honey butter and Christmas kitchen towels.
Notes:
- The raisin bran muffin mix was inspired by the recipe in Midwest Living. I included instructions to bake it.
- The tags for the jars were made with scraps of Christmas scrapbook paper.
- The tops of jars were covered with scraps of Christmas fabric.
I think they turned out really festive, and I hope the recipients enjoy them and appreciate that I made the butter, jam and muffin mix myself.
I also made another six holiday advent calendars this year for gifts (and one for myself). These are one of my favorite gifts to make. They are relatively simple, very festive and fun. They are even easier to make with the Cricut.
I also put together this cute little Figgy Pudding pillow with a charm pack. I was inspired by Jenny to do this. I’m in the process of making more.
Which gift would you love to receive?

Those buckets are great! I’d use mine to hold drinks or pool towels in the summer (you know if you want to make one for me). I’m working on few gifts, meaning I’ve bought supplies….still have to do the actual work.

Those tins are the cutest! Lucky lucky Tennesseeans. But what I really want to gush over are those pillows. I love the non-tradish christmasy fabric. I REALLY need to learn how to sew. Thanks again for hosting, I’m loving every dare. They’re quite the holiday motivators.
