Thanks to both Robin at Happy at Home and Carrie at Brick City Love for awarding me the Honest Scrap Award. I’ve been called a lot of things… and I know it can definitely get worse. Thanks.
(And, you should all go check out those blogs. They clearly have good taste.)
Here are the rules:
1.) Say thanks and give a link to the presenter of the award.
2.) Share “10 Honest Things” about myself.
3.) Present this award to 7 others whose blogs I find brilliant in content and/or design, or those who have encouraged me.
4.) Tell those 7 people they’ve been awarded HONEST SCRAP and inform them of these guidelines in receiving.
Ten Honest Things
1. I have 100 Babysitter’s Club books in basement that I cannot bear to part with.
2. My favorite movies include Sister Act and the Mighty Ducks.
3. When I work out to “The 30-Day Shred” with Jillian, I totally yell at her and call her names.
4. I had to wear an eye patch for a week in the 7th grade because I burnt my eyeball with a curling iron. Mortifying.
5. I typically sing harmony to songs in the car. I don’t really know why and it’s not really conscious. It annoys me when songs on the radio don’t have background harmonies so I feel the need to fill in. I’m strange.
6. Ryan and I began dating when I was 17. Ryan was 18.
7. In college, I often caused the smoke alarms to go off. (And my roommates took photos to prove it.)
8. I often ask Ryan if can get a cat.
9. I rarely make the bed.
10. At the first Bear’s game we went to, Ryan had to explain why the yellow lines didn’t show up on the field to help me see the first down indicator.
I have a serious blog addiction and couldn’t possible narrow it down. So, I’m not going to. (I’m a hard-core rule breaker.) I’m tagging you all.
Tell me something interesting and honest about yourself, you pieces of “honest scrap.”

Yep, I pretty much just peed them from laughing so hard at your honest things.
Esp. the yellow lines on the football field. I wondered the SAME thing at my first Broncos game, but in my head. Then I drank too much beer and asked it out loud. Everyone laughed at me. Where were you when I needed you, Kim?!!! =]

The Mighty Ducks is an AMAZING movie! I used to have the biggest crush on Adam Banks (I think that’s the character’s name).
I yell at Jillian too. I threaten to throw my handweights through the TV.
Several years ago I asked my dad the same thing about the yellow line on the field! Now it makes me laugh. 🙂

Laurel – I’ve never met another person who’s burnt their eyeball with a curling iron. It’s destiny.
Emily – The 30 day shred is a really hard workout for only being 20 minutes. It’s a little depressing how hard, actually.
Everyone who loves Mighty Ducks, screams at Jillian Michaels, doesn’t make their bed and remembers Babysitter’s Club – ROCK ON!
Nicole – I’m happy I made you laugh. That’s what I’m here for. =)
Love y’all.

You gave me my first laugh of the day with #10, thank you!!! I really needed it. 🙂

I love #10. That is so funny! I can totally see how that would be confusing though.
PS. I make the bed everyday. I’m so glad you were never my college roommate, that would have driven me nuts! 😉

I yell at Jillian too! 😉

Lots of fun stuff here!
I love the Mighty Ducks SO much! Emilio Estevez has beady little eyes, but I had a big crush on him, anyway!
I gave all my Babysitter Club books away when I first got married. I really regret that now! Oh, and Jillian is EVIL. Keep yelling!

I also rarely make the bed, which is a shame because we have tons of adorable decorative pillows. This is mostly because it’s very hard to make a bed when all the dogs think they need to be on top of it while you work.

Fun post! I love Mighty Ducks!!

#10… too funny! I had a funny friend who thought audibles were the little holes in the players helmets!

Lol – how are you liking the 30 day shred? I lived for the Babysitters Club books – I even have the VHS of the movie and the soundtrack (my first ever CD). I know, now you want a slumber party, huh?
Laurel @ Ducks in a Row says
HA – I burnt my eyeball with a curling iron when I was in high school. I burnt the whole outer corner (I think) and had to wear an eye patch for a week and did not go to school that week!
