I’m not gonna lie. I’m pretty frazzled that March has begun. How did this happen?
I just made these goals, didn’t I? I actually had an internal dilemma about even posting last month’s goals. It went something like this:
Bad Kim: “Crap! It’s already March. Did I even have goals this month?”
Good Kim: “Yes, you had them. They’re right here for the world to see.”
B.K.: “Dang! I finished hardly any of them.”
G.K.: “That’s okay, everyone understands that you only had 28 days, you veered off course with Twilight and the dining room table…”
B.K.: “Everyone understands? That’s bull! I’m not posting how terrible I did.”
G.K.: “You can’t do that. They will expect it.”
B.K.: “The hell they will…”
It went on like this for about five minutes. But, as you can see, Good Kim won out… as she always (hardly ever) does. Here goes.
The Wife’s February Goals
1. Work out two times per week. Track this on a calendar.
2. Re-discover fruits and veggies, 9 servings/day. Cut out animal products and refined sugars for a week.
Go me. I’ve been much better about eating fruits and veggies, as long as I have them available, I eat them. I’ve actually made a big improvement here.
3. Organize office files.
Meh…
4. Make a new recipe and share.
Bean salad, which is great considering I hardly cooked when Ryan was gone.
5. Stay on budget.
I’m pretty sure I didn’t do too hot while Ryan was away. Ick. Back to the budget spreadsheet.
6. Skim remaining library books and take notes. Read Twilight and the Devil in the White City.
February was book month in my world.
7. Go through magazines and consolidate.
The magazine stash is growing.
8. Paint bed.
I decided that the dining room took precedence. And, I’m glad I did.
9. Bring canvas totes when shopping anywhere. (Don’t forget them in the car.)
This has been much easier than I expected. I have been remembering to bring them to other stores besides the supermarket.
10. Maintain weekday cleaning schedule and transition to non-chemical cleaners.
It’s amazing to have weekends free to do things other than cleaning and laundry. I’m never going back.
11. Appreciate my husband when he’s in Texas and when he comes home.
I’m so glad he’s home.
